Things I Hope I Never Forget

 Inspired by Paige (Logan's sister) who has a pinboard on Pinterest entitled "Things I Hope I Never Forget". This name really struck me and so here is a list of things we always wants to remember.

Moriah:

• People who have really touched my life. That includes relatives, friends, teachers, church leaders, and roommates. Lately I have been all sappy and had this overwhelming gratitude for my roommates and Relief Society at church. I'm chalk full of love (Probably because of cupid).
• The lessons my Mom taught me like persistence, relying on the Lord's timing, the importance of helping others, saying your prayers morning and night, you can make a meal from anything, love who you are and dress how you want.
• The lessons I learned from my Dad like pushing yourself when things get hard, love the gospel and strive to live it, appreciate nature and get outside, and represent the family name well.
• My fantastic times with Logan, Paige, Jenna, and Michaela ( the members of S.A.U.L.L. our sisterhood).
• Why I love my hometown.
• San Diego.
• Quotes from my favorite movies, Seinfeld, and The Office.
• Happiness is a choice and we need to make the most of the cards we're dealt.
• Being awkward isn't a bad thing. It creates great stories and laughs.
• Don't give up. Fight for what you want.
• Life as a college student.
• The homeless man I bought a hemp necklace from in Idaho Falls. My mom approached him when he was sitting on a bench and asked if he was selling the necklaces in his hand and if he wanted something to eat. Not only did I get a necklace that is special to my heart, I witnessed my Mom's never-ending compassion. While my Mom was buying him a bottled water I talked to him about my dreams for fashion school and he was so excited and told me I had to do it! He was one of the only people to get that excited about my dream at the time, and on the drive home my Mom, my little sister Mallory, and I had a great talk about not judging others. He really touched my life. Thank you.
• That condiments are not a food group and that fry sauce > than ketchup.

• The feeling you get at a concert of someone you love. Pure joy while singing as loud as you can.

• To never settle, strive for what you have planned for all along.
• Even if you lose everything you try for, there really is something greater waiting. The Lord knows what I need more than I do.
• That no matter how much I fight with my family, they will still love me FOREVER, so matter what mistakes I make.

1. What are five words to describe your personality?Determined, spontaneous, accepting, adventurous, creative.

2. Why did you decide to start blogging?

Back in my high school days, like 2 years ago, I had this rad photography teacher, Larry Prescott. Each of us in the class created a photo blog and that is where our weekly assignments went. After I graduated High school I moved to Ethiopia. To keep my family and friends updated on my adventures I kept blogging when I could. Then I blogged through my grumpiness of being home, summer happiness, Ethiopia trip 2, and all the way to now. The blog just stuck.

3. How did you name your blog?

Originally my blog was 'clicky finger with ideas.' I thought I was really clever, after all it was a photo blog. It wasn't until this past October I changed it to 'Dreams with no Boundaries'. I had just arrived back in Ethiopia for the second time. When I started telling people I was going to go back to Ethiopia I got a very negative response. The name is a HA I MADE MY UNREACHABLE DREAM COME TRUE kind of thing I guess. I strongly believe you can make your dreams come true.

4. What are some of your favorite blogs?

5. What do you do when you are not blogging?

There is a life outside of blogging??!! just kidding. I am a full time student so I go to school and do homework, a lot. I also work at an assisted living home where I have the cutest Grandmas and Grandpas. If I'm not working or being bogged down with school I am probably day dreaming, having a spontaneous adventure, running (I signed up for a marathon!!), doing a photo shoot for someone, going on dates with 90 year olds, shopping, coaching soccer, or sleeping. but really not that much sleeping, sadly.  

6. How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day and are you doing anything for St. Patrick's Day?Let me tell you something, I love, love, love holidays. like, really. Not that you asked, but my favorite is birthdays! You get to celebrate how wonderful life is. Anyway, for valentines day I sent out valentines to friends and family (psst Moriah did you get yours??), wore purple tie dye and red to 6am soccer conditioning, dressed up in a leopard sweater for school, and made sugar cookies at work with my oldies.  Just small simple things that made me remember how much I love life. You can bet I will be celebrating St Patty's Day. I will probably eat green eggs and ham, wear lots of green, stylishly, and of course have cabbage and corn beef for dinner. Mmmmm...

7. You definitely have style, girl. What’s your favorite go to piece?

I think I have more of a go to outfit... a hat, skirt, tights and boots. I wear this combo all. the. time. Probably too much. Several people have asked me if I ever wear pants. To those who have questioned that but haven't verbalized it yet, yes, I wear pants and jeans for that matter! The outfit works for every occasion. Dress it up with a lace shirt and wedged boots or down with a jean shirt and baggy sweater. Plus, it's really comfy.

8. Who are your style icons?

Alexa Chung, Iris Apfel, Emma Watson, and DI manikins.

9. A lot of your blog features your photography. What got you into taking pictures and what inspires you?

When I started high school, photography classes were just starting to be offered. My class got to be the guinea pigs for the spectacular program. I like to think of my self as a creative person and photography has only enhanced that.  My photography has moved manly towards people. I am inspired when I see emotion and they are everywhere... an elderly man looking over the obituaries in the news paper, a boy with his Ipod in his ears sitting in the playground, a Mother cooking, a single baby shoe on the street, faces in airports. The list could go on and on. I like being able to see and capture what is truly around me.

10. What are your future goals?

I want to become a RN, cross your fingers I get into the program, and eventually a midwife. I aspire to living out of the United States, having one of my photographs in National Geographic (Passionately love that magazine), running a 100 miler ultra marathon, and having 100 blog followers by the end of 2012....

Wednesday Guestpost-Mary

Mary:

Mary is a cool cat friend of Moriah's sister and a jazzy redhead.

It all began 14 years ago. I was 3, and my mom was a schoolteacher. She found many of her students that fall reading a specific book by a British author. She decided to see what was getting her students to read (one of the things she’s always trying to do, even today). So she picked up a copy and changed my life forever.

The first book of Harry Potter came out in the U.S. in 1998. My mother found it a great story, and wanted to share it with my father and myself. So she got the audio tapes and we listened to it on car trips. So began my love affair with Harry Potter. At first I was resistant, I was a stubborn child, I admit. I didn’t like anything that wasn’t Playhouse Disney. But then I started listening, REALLY listening, and soon, Jim Dale and J.K. Rowling had me under a spell.

I waited with high anticipation for every book as they each came out. I remember getting ready for dinner and asking my mother, “Is Harry coming for dinner tonight?” Our code for, “Are we going to listen to the audiotapes during dinner?” I was in love with Harry; I admit it, and I still am. Then the movies started coming out, and I saw my obsession come to life. My friends and I would make up imaginary “fanfic” games about life at Hogwarts all the time.

Finally, book seven, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out. I was scared, for as soon as we finished this book, it would be all over. Sure, there were two or three movies still to come, but we would know what was coming. The anticipation, the anxiousness, the epic life story of my childhood fangirl love would all come to a close. It felt like my childhood was dying.

The last book was the best, if you ask me. It left me with tears and the satisfaction that “All was well.” It was exactly how I wanted it to end. Even now, my heart seems full and emotional; pitter-pattering with the pleasure that it still gives me.

I can’t imagine life without Harry. Even now, after 7 books and 8 movies, Harry Potter has meant more to me than any other books series ever. Even though the series is completed, I will not stop loving Harry. He will be a part of my life and my family’s life forever. Harry Potter has been my dream world, my fantasy, my everything. The past 14 years have made my imagination soar, my dreams reach the stars, and my heart find a home. I know that the sentiment is true, “Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.” Such has been the story of a true Potterhead.

Drama Girl

Michaela is my go to girl for dramatic pics, she just knows how to work it. So here are the water works :)

 Dilated eyes mean that you are seeing something that you are attracted to.........uh oh.

So if you are across the altar with the man or woman that you love and their eyes are not dilated, you get yourself out of there, because they are not even attracted to you. Or they have terrible cataracts that really need to be taken care of.

 I didn't like this one (above) originally, but it has grown on me a lot, and it is now my favorite out of the bunch I think.

Congrats on having a great face Michaela, I know that I (Logan) appreciate it! Just remember that.
