Summer, How Do We Love Thee? Let us count the ways...

So Moriah and I are extremely in love with summer. We can't even put to words the feelings that we have for it. But right here, right now, we will try because winter is here, and on this blog, we don't like that fact. We have summer fever, and being raised in Idaho, we are pretty confident that we have the best summer's, and during the other 9 months, we are praying for it to come around again :)

Why the Love?
1. Being together- our parents try to ground us from each other all the time. HA!!! We love each other way too much for that to go down!!!
2.Sleeping wherever and however long you want. (like turning your bathroom into the woods and watching twilight to finish off the effect, or sleeping in tree houses, or at each others houses, or in new states :)
3. Heat
4. Gardening. We love to plant things and watch them grow. This last summer both of us realized how rewarding it is to get our hands dirty and plant beautiful things that God created for us to enjoy. Our parents appreciated our help too :) We fit in some good discussions while we did this too!
5. Inventing our own foods! Like we posted earlier, we had a day where we invented extreme pizzas, we have come up with extreme wrap recipes with everything in our fridge (p.s. brown sugar and hot sauce in disgusting-courtesy of Moriah)
6. Making lists of things that we want to do. We really like to make lists (hence this post :) and even though we NEVER do all of the things we want to (because we make our lists too big) it is very fun to dream.
7. Going on walks. When we were both in high school we (paige, michaela, jenna, moriah, and myself) love to go on Sunday walks, they help us keep up with whatever is going on with each other.
8. We love the golden light that shows up a little while before the sun sets :) (I-Logan-am obsessed with this)
9. Being barefoot!! Neither of us are much of shoe wearers no matter the season, so when our fav one rolls around, our feet are screaming for attention!!
10. Hair wraps. Neither of us have had these in for a really long time- Moriah because of job interviews, and me because I don't like to have them in when I go to the temple, but in the summer we have been known to have up to 12 with our heads combined :) love them!
11. Skinny dipping and streaking. 'nough said :)
12. Taco Bell time!! we have had some rockin' times there!
13. Road trips. This last summer both of our families went on road trips. My fam went to Seattle, and Moriah's to Iowa. There is just something ,magical about road-trips. You never know what will happen, what amazing things you will see, and how many things you will be able to check off on your bucket list!!
14. Traveling period. Planes, trains (we wish!!) and cars, whatever it takes!
15. Softball games. I (Logan) play and I like to bring my besties along with me sometimes. Summer softball is so much better than spring softball. Since spring in Idaho isn't spring. It's winter.
16. Blasting music and keeping all of the doors open while you do chores :)
17. NO SCHOOL!!!!! oh man!
18. The eternal dream of having a summer romance :) (que Notebook :)
19. T-shirts and shorts every day. No make up, sun dried locks and tan/fried skin:)
20. Cuts, bruises, and peeling sunburns. These things make you feel alive!
21. BRIDGE JUMPING!!! or just being in any kind of water!!!
22. Riding bikes to wherever the wind blows us.
23. Lilacs and other sweet smells.
24. The sound of construction. At least I like it :)
25. Hopscotch :)
26. Stars. They make us dream and also realize that God created everything in the universe and wants us to enjoy it!!
27. The beauty it brings. Summer makes us feel much closer to God because being outside brings peace to us and helps us realize all that has been done for us. It blows our minds that every deer, every strand of wheat, and every beautiful person was carefully designed to be perfect. We live in such a beautiful place!
28. Camping-especially girls camp.
29. No curfew:)
30. Concerts!
31. Fireflies, water skippers, cyotes howling at night.
32. Late-night drives.

I found this pic on google. It is in Kentucky and reminds us of the Hannah Montana movie :)
 California dreamin'
I took this picture of my dads (Logan's dad) garden produce to put on the boxes of his great plant protector invention :) love all of the food from gardens.
Paige looking like a creep with a hat on and roasting a marshmallow in Missouri :)
Family :) This is Logan's niece Brooklyn
Beaches and the animals around them. This was taken at a beach an hour from Seattle Washington.
Logan boarding. Hayden (Logan and Paige's little bro) likes to make his own. Moriah once had a bad accident while longboarding. She doesn't really do it anymore. It's a shame.
D.I. time!!! We are often found together in a dressing room with an entire cart of clothes :)
This was the last day that we were all together before Moriah left for college. We met at like 6:30 (because Michaela had a band trip at like 9) at Moriah's and made pancakes and then watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, one of our very favorite movies :) Mallory is on the left and Michaela is on the right.
Moriah left when the river was too high, but me (Logan) and all of our younger siblings went a couple of times. If you are friends with Moriah or I on facebook, and you go clear back to last August you will find a video of me and Paige bridge jumping with a picture of Moriah in a plastic sack. She was with us in spirit :)
Logan, Paige, Michaela, Morgan, Mallory, and Hayden. Camera timer!!

Cats. This is Emmy-Lou. She is as old as Paige

We both look terrible in this. But it is the only picture I have of both of us at this time :) I guess we can learn to deal with it.

Hehe :)<-----So unflattering, but whatevs.-Moriah
Taking low-quality videos of your favorite singer.

We hope that you enjoyed our list of summer times loves. May you all get summer fever.

  1. The only thing I disagree with is...YOU TWO LOVE SHOES! As far as I know, you don't love being without them...but I do love a good barefoot in the grass session as much as the next teenager (at heart.)
Why didn't you mention anything about cicadas?
And streaking and skinny dipping? I must hear more
